About the event

How can soil-health practices move from promising ideas to solutions that work in real farming contexts?

This SoilCommunity webinar will bring together practical experiences from European research projects and Living Labs. Through short case studies, speakers will present the soil challenges they are addressing, the practices being tested, the results and experiences observed so far, and the lessons that could be useful in other regions.

The session will feature experiences from InBestSoil, LILAS4SOILS and SOILCRATES, including work on rotational grazing in the dehesa and farmer-led experimentation within Living Labs.

The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion exploring:

  • What makes a soil-health practice feasible and attractive to farmers?
  • How can practices be adapted to different environmental and farming contexts?
  • What role can Living Labs play in testing, improving and scaling practical solutions?
  • How can researchers, farmers and other local actors collaborate more effectively?

The webinar will conclude with an open Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to exchange experiences directly with the speakers.
