Policy and Economic Instruments to Improve Soil Health: State of the Art Webinar
Soil is an essential natural resource that sustains life on our planet. Unfortunately, it faces serious threats from urban development, pollution, and unsustainable exploitation. By implementing sustainable agricultural methods like organic farming, crop rotation, and natural fertilizers, we can improve soil fertility and lessen the effects of climate change. A robust and well-regulated legislative framework and proactive engagement from authorities could significantly strengthen soil health and its benefits.
In this regard, alongside our sister projects, Novasoil and SoilValues, we hosted a significant webinar, 'Policy and Economic Instruments to Improve Soil Health: State of the Art,' on February 14th. This event, held on the SoilCommunityPlatform, aimed to illuminate the resources available to farmers and businesses through policy, legal, and public institutions, promoting environmental sustainability and economic transition.
Soil Community Platform is a collaborative space created under the InBestSoil and BIOservicES projects to encourage cross-project collaboration and advance efforts in key areas such as policy recommendations, innovative business models, soil health indicators, and monitoring practices.
